Ascending indie star Arran George may be drawing comparisons to Pete Doherty (and we have to admit it is uncanny), but hopefully after the release of his upcoming What I See On Daytime TV EP drops those comparisons will stop. Billed as a collection of demos, the new EP sits closer to the Bon Iver end of the singer-songwriter spectrum, with feather-lite vocals and airy instrumentation. "How High Does The English Grass Grow", in particular, puts most of its focus on melody, with those breathy vocals taking the limelight. Despite being labeled as demos, What I See On Daytime TV is a strong debut for the emerging artist and something we're keen to hear more of.
