Tyler, The Creator's Stage Name Originated On MySpace

Last night, Tyler, the Creator made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live to discuss the launch of his Golf Media app, and much more. On the app, Tyler said that he really wants to own a TV network, but because people don't watch as much TV anymore, he decided to create this app where he could interact with his fans in an unique way. Along with his own radio station that features over 600 songs that Tyler currently listens to, he also organizes film screenings at different theaters where he gathers fans to watch some of his favorite movies. 

During a portion of the conversation, which you can watch above, Tyler also revealed the origin of his stage name, and said that it came from his days on MySpace when he had three pages, with one labeled as Tyler, the Creator, and that one ended up being the most popular as he blew up.
