It was an eventful day at Staten Island Mall.

As pointed out by TMZ, a group of people took to the building Saturday to protest the vaccine mandate for indoor dining.

Video published by Twitter user @ScooterCasterNY shows the demonstrators walking into the mall’s food court chanting “USA.” A number of the protesters were seen carrying American flags while donning pro-Trump and QAnon gear.

A woman can be heard telling her fellow protesters to go get some grub and “sit our butts down.”

“Go get food and eat! That is what we’re here to do...and stay as long as we like!” she shouted.

Once they reconvened in the dining section, the protesters got their grub on and began chanting “fuck Joe Biden” and “my body, my choice.” The video also shows they took some time to pledge allegiance to the flag.

NYC became the first major U.S. city to mandate proof of vaccination for indoor eateries, gyms, and entertainment venues.

“If you want to participate in society fully, you’ve got to get vaccinated. It’s time,” Mayor Bill de Blasio said last month. “You’ll need proof of COVID-19 vaccination for indoor dining, indoor gyms and indoor concerts and performances in New York City. This is a lifesaving mandate to keep our city safe.”
