Four relatives, including the ex-husband of Hong Kong model Abby Choi, have been charged with murder after police discovered her remains in their homes.

CBS News reports Choi’s ex-husband Alex Kwong, as well as his father Kwong Kau and his brother Anthony Kwong, were placed in custody Monday without bail. All three are charged with murdering Choi, while Kwong’s mother, Jenny Li, has been charged with one count of perverting the course of justice.

On Sunday, police found what appears to be the remains of the 28-year-old slain model in the Kwong’s home in Lung Mei Tsuen, a suburb of Hong Kong. Police discovered Choi’s skull and ribs in a large soup pot alongside “green radishes and carrots.”

“Two pots of stew believed to contain human tissue,” police superintendent Alan Chung told reporters.

Choi’s body parts were found in the same house where police discovered her limbs in a fridge on Friday. Law enforcement said Choi’s skull had a small hole in it, which they believe is where a fatal attack occurred.

Choi, who went missing Feb. 21, reportedly had several disputes with her ex-husband’s family regarding financial matters.

“We believe the victim and her ex-husband’s family had many financial disputes involving huge sums,” Chung said. “Someone was dissatisfied with how the victim handled her assets, which became a motive to kill.”

After Choi and Kwong separated, Abby remarried, though she still offered financial support to her ex-husband’s family. Choi leaves behind four children, two from her ex-husband.
