Brittany Zamora, the Arizona school teacher convicted of molesting her 13-year-old student, plead with the victim's father not to press charges before the court case ensued, according to audio footage released by the family.
“Can you explain to me, can we meet to talk about this?" the former school teacher asks him. “Something we can settle outside?”
“Oh yeah, oh yeah that’s what we can do,” the sixth grader’s dad responded. “So I can give you a chance to do it to some other kid.” Zamora then hands the phone over to her husband, Daniel Zamora, who echoed his wife's plea.
“Your wife decided to be a monster and prey on a child; she scarred my son mentally. Do you understand what a 13-year-old boy did having sex with a teacher? Do you get that at all? You're asking me to forgive," the father tells Daniel. “I don't think they had sex,” he responded. “I am not even getting involved with this. You will know the truth in a few short days,” the victim's dad said before ending the call.
According to court documents obtained by The Arizona Republic, authorities found that Zamora had groomed the 13-year-old, by sending him nude photographs, paying him special attention, and engaging in illicit acts both on and off campus. The boy ultimately told investigators that his teacher, "said she wanted to give me a blow job and my stuff is really big and stuff like that."
Earlier this month, Zamora plead guilty to sexual conduct with a minor, attempted molestation of a minor, and public sexual indecency. She was sentenced to 20 years in prison and upon release, will be mandated to register as a sex offender and serve probation for the rest of her life.
