A man has been arrested in connection with the suspicious packages sent to former POTUS Barack Obama, former VP Joe Biden, actor Robert De Niro, and others.

The arrest in South Florida comes hours after two more packages were discovered, one intended for Sen. Cory Booker and one intended for former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. News of the arrest first arrived via CNN and was later confirmed by the Department of Justice's Director of Public Affairs, Sarah Isgur Flores.

We can confirm one person is in custody. We will hold a press conference at the Department of Justice at 2:30pm ET.

Meanwhile, Trump—a truly inept and deeply vacuous sack of shit—is publicly entertaining far-right conspiracy theories and continuing to attack the press. "Republicans are doing so well in early voting, and at the polls, and now this 'Bomb' stuff happens and the momentum greatly slows - news not talking politics," the poor excuse for a human tweeted out early Friday. "Very unfortunate, what is going on. Republicans, go out and vote!"

It's not clear why he capitalized the word "bomb" or put it in quotes. Typically, when referring to a public figure's tweets, we just embed them into the article. However, I'm not going to do that here because that would result in you having to see his face. It's Friday, after all, and it'd be inconsiderate for me to subject you to such a grotesque image.

A DOJ press conference regarding the arrest is set for 2:30 p.m. ET Friday. This post will be updated with information from the conference. Trump also very briefly addressed the situation while speaking at the Young Black Leadership Summit, but nothing he says matters.
