Stranger Things was good—really good—but there was one thing lacking according to fans of adorable rodents everywhere: hamsters.

Luckily, the good people at Mashable seem to have solved the Netflix series' disappointing lack of hamsters with a new video titled Hamster Thingswhich features plenty of the little guys doing all the Stranger Things things, including checking out tiny Christmas lights (notice they spell out H-A-M-S-T-E-R), sniffing tiny boxes of Eggos, and hanging out alone on diving boards while (we assume) their hamster friends get lucky inside the house.

Also, they're hamsters, so they gnaw on stuff, lick their little paws clean and appear pretty much indifferent to the high production value sets around them. Seriously, though, someone really took some time crafting some extremely intricate, hamster-sized details for this thing.

Also, the hamsters apparently come from some kind of hamster rescue shelter. Who even knew that was a thing? But we're glad it is.

Season 2 of Stranger Things with humans is coming to Netflix in 2017, though we're still not exactly sure when. For now, you might have to settle on catching up with the series' stars at a fan convention, if you've got some money to spend
