While models like Cara Delevingne are shifting their focus from the runway to the big screenEllar Coltrane, the child star from Richard Linklater's Oscar-nominated film Boyhood is doing the exact opposite. Having spent 12 years of his life filming one of the biggest and most highly regarded films of 2014 (100 percent on Metacritic and five Golden Globe nominations, including a win for Best Motion Picture-Drama), Coltrane has decided to update his resumé by signing with one of the top modeling agencies in the world, Wilhelmina.

The agency welcomed 20-year-old Coltrane to the family by posting his photo on Facebook with the caption "WELCOME to #WILLYNYC: #EllarColtrane!" According to Dazed Digital, the actor already has photo shoots scheduled for L'Uomo Vogue and he has already worked with Hedi Slimane for the latest issue of V Man (above). Coltrane was six when they started making Boyhood, so it makes since that he would want to branch out and try other things now that he is an adult. Maybe this will help him escape the "child star" curse.
