Fresh from documenting a venture over at Carl Krull's studio in Denmark, curator and photographer Henrik Haven has released images from yet another impressive international journey. This presentation is the first part—out of three—of the comprehensive documentation of the "Urban Xchange" effort, put forth by Urban Nation and Hin Bus Art Center.

According to the Urban Nation website, "This UX urban exchange program is focusing on education about street art and urban art to city officials and art schools." The latest manifestation of this program took place in Penang, Malaysia last month.

Haven's series "Work-in-progress / Behind the scenes" gives us a glimpse into the process of plastering new murals and walls in the streets of Penang. The murals were completed by a hefty roster of local and international street artists, including RoneElleVextaErnest ZacharevicAdisson KarlTank Petrol,Don JohnMr. TollAntanas DubraKenji ChaiBibichun, and 4Some.

Look out for part two and three of the Haven's photographic journey, coming up in the next few months. Until then, you can follow the photographer's Instagram here and his Tumblr here
