Designer Peter Manning will soon open the doors to his first-ever fitting studio in DUMBO, Brooklyn.
Manning, whose line caters specifically to men 5'8" and under, is slated to debut his showroom by the end of this month. Customers can visit the studio to get tailored up in Manning Five Eight goods, or simply to ensure that a piece of clothing will fit correctly before purchasing it online.
The 46-year-old former Broadway producer first launched his eponymous brand after years of height-related restrictions and frustrations.
"I've never bought a pair of pants or a jacket that fits me right," he told the New York Times earlier this month. "Tailoring them or looking sloppy is always the way I've had to go."
By mid-2012, Manning realized he needed to create a middle ground to help out dudes, who, like him, were sartorially limited by stature.
No word on the official opening date and location of Manning's store just yet. Check back for details.
