Earlier today, Charles Barkley was a guest on Colin Cowherd's ESPN Radio show and was asked about what happened to Johnny Manziel over the weekend. Manziel was harassed by a fan and, eventually, questioned by police as a result of it. And while he wasn't charged with anything, it could have been a really bad situation for him.

Barkley talked to Cowherd about what took place with Manziel and said he thinks one of Manziel's friends should have handled the heckler who got into it with the Browns quarterback. But he also said that fans messing with pro athletes is a recurring problem. In his eyes, about 90 percent of sports fans know how to act. But the other 10 percent? Well…

"There are 10 percent that I would love to take out back and just shoot 'em," he said. "Because they're jealous. They're jealous and they're angry, and it sucks. You kind of laugh sometimes, because they'll say things to me that's really rude and I just kind of laugh and I'm saying to myself, 'Please come close enough and touch me.'…That's what I be saying under my breath."

Ha. If anyone else said this, we can pretty much guarantee that there would be outrage over the idea of a pro athlete threatening to "shoot" fans. But because Sir Charles said it:

So...¯\_(ツ)_/¯
