The 2015 NBA Finals were epic. Not "epic" in the sense of "Check Out This Totally Epic, Viral Thing We Just Found on the Internet" but, like, actually epic. It was a classic story of heroism. LeBron James played his ass off in an attempt to drag the Cavaliers back from the brink, while Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors continued to play some of the most inspired, creative, and ruthless basketball that the NBA has ever seen. LeBron put on a historic performance and the Warriors capped a historic season. The series deserved a Game 7, but, regardless, we can all walk away from the Finals knowing that it was nothing short of entertaining the entire way through.
Accordingly, the GIFs that Reddit user noise_filter put together to commemorate this clash of the titans are "epic." Yes, like, "Check Out This Totally Epic, Viral Thing We Just Found on the Internet." Seriously, though, you won't regret it. Without any hyperbole or rose-colored nostalgia, noise_filter gives us the tale of the tape, just as it happened.
Because who could forget when Steph Curry went Super Saiyan and drained a Spirit Bomb from deep?
Or when Matthew Dellavedova landed a direct hit with this killer Destructo Disc?
(Though, if you'll recall, Krillin's Destructo Disc didn't actually hurt Cell...)
And, years from now, we'll all remember where we were when LeBron James reached Super Saiyan 3.
