Chris Paul Says He Could Retire Early to Be with His Children

You gotta respect CP3 for that.

At only 28 years old, Chris Paul has plenty of years left in the NBA, barring injury, of course. But, let's not get ahead of ourselves. In case you missed HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel last night, Paul told Mary Carillo that he would be willing to call it quits early because he would "hate to miss anything with my kids." Take a look at that segment below.

In July, Paul signed a new five-year, $107 million contract extension with the Los Angeles Clippers, which means that if he takes the player option on the 2017-18 season, CP3 will be just 33 years old. Who knows what he will decide to do after that deal is up? Maybe then Paul will simply retire and settle into his other job as President of the National Basketball Players' Association.

Sounds like a good plan to us. After all, family always comes first.
