Maurice Jones-Drew Denies Punching a Security Guard at a Restaurant Recently

He's cooperating with police.

Yesterday afternoon, TMZ reported that Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drewhad allegedly assaulted a security guard at a restaurant called Conch House in St. Augustine, Fla. on Sunday night. The report said that MJD knocked the guard out with a single punch after the guard put one of his friends into a headlock. But now, MJD has refuted that report and said that he did not punch the guard. He's also agreed to speak with police about the situation.

The security guard filed a misdemeanor battery complaint against MJD on Sunday night. But as of right now, no criminal charges have been filed against Jones-Drew and the case is still under investigation. Stay tuned to see if MJD is formally charged with battery.
