Move over, Phil Jackson. Less than a day after reports emerged indicating that Phil Jax might be named the next coach of the Brooklyn Nets, a new Yahoo! Sports report by Adrian Wojnarowski says that the Nets have a "significant" new candidate for their head coaching vacancy. That coach is Rockets assistant coach Kelvin Sampson, who has served as an assistant for the last five years in Milwaukee and Houston.

There's no word yet on if he's the frontrunner for the job. But, he was in the running for the Pistons head coaching vacancy last year. So, he should be considered a serious candidate. Stay tuned.
