In just a little over a year since their debut, Kanye West's adidas Yeezy Boost sneakers have racked up some pretty unbelievable headlines. For starters, there was Kanye's promise that everyone who wanted the shoes would eventually get them. Then, there was a man willing to trade his pair for a new kidney. When it was all said and done, people spent a total of $12.6 million buying Yeezys on eBay in 2015. And now, we've got another one to add to the list.

In a story originally spotted by GQ, a sneakerhead's wife took to Reddit to vent her frustrations after finding out that her husband had literally blown their mortgage money on Yeezy Boosts. But instead of attempting to capture her rage, we'll let her tell it in her own words.

To preface this a little, my husband used to collect sneakers but has stopped and only buys a pair every few months. He doesn't go crazy buying pairs and his collection is rather small now. He's sold a few of his "grails" as he calls it so we could put a downpayment on our house. We both work reasonable jobs and have enough to save and pay for the mortgage each month.

Sheesh. While many 'heads have probably had disagreements with loved ones over their sneaker spending habits, this is a new low. Time to get those priorities in order, fam.
