After numerous previews, Nike has officially unveiled the highly-anticipated fragment design x Air Jordan 1 collaboration.
The sneaker sports a "Black Toe" and "Royal" 1 mashup with its white base and black and blue leather overlays. There's O.G. "Nike Air" branding on the woven tongue label and the Japanese label's signature double lightning bolt mark on the lateral heel.
In the announcement, which was made on Twitter this afternoon, Nike described the sneaker as "remastered," which is a new approach Jordan Brand plans to take with its retro sneakers, emphasizing construction that is identical to the model's original form. The plan is set for 2015, but it looks like 'heads get an early treat with these 1s.
In an interview with Hypebeast last month, fragment design's Hiroshi Fujiwara said the quality of the 1s would be close to original quality. It looks like he was referring to the sneakers being remastered all along.
Jordan Brand has also confirmed that this is a "Remastered" sneaker:
