Fans of LeBron James' twelfth signature sneaker will have to wait a little longer for its debut launch. According to Nike PR Director Heidi Burgett, the release of the LeBron 12 has been pushed back because of an unspecified cosmetic issue.
Last year, it was publicly known that there were some issues with the LeBron XI that prevented James from consistently wearing the sneakers on the court. Based on Burgett's tweet, it appears the issue has nothing to do with performance or technical specs, and is simply an aesthetic problem.
An updated release has not yet been revealed, but as it stands, the October 11 launch for the "NSRL" colorway will not be happening.
Due to a small cosmetic issue w/ some of the LEBRON 12s, we have delayed the initial retail launch. New launch dates to come.
