With about 23 appearances on the E! reality vehicle Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Jonathan Cheban has somewhat of an inside track on all things happening with the noted celebrity family. The fellow reality show star recently dished on what to expect from Kim Kardashian and her embattled husband Kanye West.
“Kim and Kanye are looking forward to the new year, new changes,” Cheban told Us Weekly in a report by Joyce Chen. “They’re going to be great.” He added that West was “doing much better.”
Since West’s emotional outburst at a Nov. 20 concert in Sacramento, California, there have been rumors of West living apart from Kardashian and the couple’s two children, as well as a possible divorce. When asked about the rumored divorce, Cheban was quick to deny any such separation. “Well, I can tell you the divorce is not happening,” Cheban said. “I was so surprised when someone asked me that on a red carpet ... But I’ll tell you they are definitely not getting a divorce.”
West’s outburst, cancelation of his St. Pablo tour and subsequent hospitalization have been linked to prescription medication issues, stress, and other factors. West made his first public appearance since his hospitalization Friday, when the rapper, producer, and designer was spotted attending the Rick Owens “Furniture” exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. West was photographed wearing a new blonde haircut.
