If you ever wanted to know what exactly “mansplaining” means, YouTuberAdam Levine-Peres has your back. In a short video, he perfectly explains the annoying habit that many a woman has had to endure.

"It’s a condition that affects many men who believe that it is our natural born right to talk over, interrupt and especially explain things to women on topics that affect women, are predominately about women and that they’re probably experts on in the first place," he says. "And that’s condescending."

Levine-Peres goes on to cite relevant examples like Matt Damon’s recent kerfuffle explaining diversity to Effie Brown, a black female filmmaker, during an episode of Project Greenlight. He points out that this is also a case of “whitesplaining,” which is much like mansplaining except you swap gender for race.

At the end of the video, he makes a pretty valid suggestion that we should all keep in mind. "I’ve been prescribed a medication known as 'check yourself. I take my daily dose and I suggest you do the same."
