According to multiple sources, the cause of Andrew Getty's death has been confirmed by the Los Angeles coroner as "gastrointestinal hemorrhage, acute meth intoxication, heart disease and duodenal ulcers." Getty had supposedly complained to his assistant about an impending illness just days before his death, at which point Getty was discovered unresponsive by his estranged ex-girlfriend Lanessa DeJonge.

The Getty dynasty's long and storied history took another tragic turn, as the grandson of J. Paul Getty — Andrew Getty — was found dead in his Hollywood Hills home on Tuesday. Andrew Getty, just 47 years old, reportedly sought a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend just two weeks ago.
The tumultuous couple apparently had a troubled history with the LAPD, including a series of domestic disturbances. According to TMZ, the LAPD is treating Andrew Getty's passing as a "death under suspicious circumstances."
Andrew Getty was one of Gordon P. Getty's four sons. Though Gordon P. Getty alone has a reported net worth of $2.1 billion, the Getty dynasty has a collective net worth of at least $5 billion.
