Google yesterday announced a new option to lease Chromebooks for individuals and businesses. The month-to-month plans are very affordable, starting at $25 a month for a Chromebox, and $30 a month for Samsung's Series 5 550 Chromebook. The lease includes a three-year warranty on the device.

This program is beneficial for startups and businesses with temporary workers and low cash flow. Instead of dishing out $599 all at once you can just lease a Chromebook. Renters will actually see their monthly payments decrease the longer they keep the device. Google's rental program is facilitated by financial and insurance provider, CIT Group.
