In Sweden, the law does not protect everyone. A judge recently cleared a man of rape because the victim was a transgender woman with male genitalia—apparently, in Sweden, a man cannot rape another man. According to prosecutors, the defendant was "brutally violent," but the crime "never had the possibility of being fulfilled" because the man had a penis.
He didn't get off completely however, as he was found guilty of assault. Still, the judge could use lessons in anatomy, sexual education, and compassion.
