Sometimes Bon Appétit, a food magazine, asks celebrities for recipes via their "Back of the Napkin" section. In the past, they've acquired recipes from folks like Jimmy Kimmel, Aziz Ansari, and Jimmy Kimmel.

Now they've published a recipe for preparing kale from the king of guest verses, André 3000.

If you find it difficult to read the napkin above, here is the text:

"Being that I'm from the South, I've eaten collards, mustard and turnip greens all my life. I was introduced to kale a few years ago and fell in love with the way you can instantly stir fry or pan fry it. Kale is also nutritious, and by by not boiling it to death like classic Southern greens, most that nutrition stays intact."

André Benjamin then offers this recipe:

About a cup of water
1 or 2 heads of kale
A few garlic cloves
A couple teaspoons of coconut oil
A dab of soy free margarine
A couple shakes of Herbamare (brand) seasoning
A pince of cayenne
A pinch of black pepper

Boil water. Flash steam kale and drain. Lightly saute kale in margarine, oil and garlic. Season to taste.

Even when transcribing a simple recipe, he can't help but use his words. He asks for a "dab," a "couple shakes." A cookbook from the MC would be invaluable for the language alone.
