Are you one of the folks who passed on the Nintendo 3DS in order to wait for the PS Vita? Well, we’re afraid you’re going to have to hold out a little longer. Only Japan will be seeing the PS Vita in 2011 and the rest of the world will have to wait until an undisclosed time in 2012. Sony is claiming that this isn’t a delay stating they are reticent to release their new handheld until there is sufficient software support for the device. Sometimes it’s a good thing to launch your product after the competition so you can learn from their missteps. We’ll see next year if it pays off. [via Destructoid]
