Complex co-sign: There is no shortage of sports documentaries in this world, and yet the genre never gets old because there are so many good, lesser known stories to be told. That was the idea behind ESPN’s 30 for 30, a series of movies that reminded or taught us about fierce '90s basketball rivalries (Winning Time: Reggie Miller vs. The New York Knicks), Muhammad Ali's sad final fights (Muhammad and Larry), the cocaine death of NBA draftee Len Bias (Without Bias), the slaying of a Colombian soccer star (The Two Escobars), and others. Filmed and edited distinctly by over 30 different directors, the series runs the emotional gamut and had us cracking up and crying. Any television series that can do has earned itself a victory.
