The Tonight Show, hosted by one of those Jimmys, was gifted with a Buddy performance Thursday night.

Buddy stopped by Studio 6B to perform his Harlan & Alondra single "Trouble on Central," produced by Scoop DeVille and Roofeeo. The Roots backed him up. Catch the performance (which marks Buddy's TV debut) up top.

"I had five racks and I went to the Arco [gas station] right around the corner from where I grew up in Compton on Central and Alondra, right down the street from Harlan, and I gave away free gas," Buddy told DJBooth earlier this year when discussing the inspiration behind his album-accompanying short film.

Buddy also linked with Nipsey Hussle earlier this week for the "Status Symbol 3" video. Per Nipsey himself, the concept centered around the idea of bringing fans into his driving zone. "The idea on this one was just to get cerebral and bring the listener in to my mindset while I’m riding through traffic by myself," he told Billboard. "I spend a lot of time in my car and come up with ideas, songs, and business concepts while I’m in that mode, so we wanted to expand on that."
