Kanye West Calls Hot 97 Following Trump Controversy to Say He Also Loves Ebro

Are we being conned here?

Kanye West, who recently told Ebro Darden he still loved the neo-Nazi-sympathizer-in-chief, called in to Hot 97 Tuesday morning. Instead of offering up some clarity for his reckless cosign of far-right figures, West repeatedly told Darden he loved him and suggested they meet up in person before doing a full-on radio interview.

"Hey man," West quietly said at the top of their phone conversation. "I just called to say I love you, bro." When Darden asked West how he was doing, West responded with a simple "I love you." Darden then asked if this was part of West's previously tweeted plan to lead with love, to which West again responded with an "I love you," this time with an added "bruh." After several more variations of "I love you," West told Darden they should "meet up in person and then we can talk afterwards."

Previously, on an otherwise mundane Monday, Darden relayed some profoundly disappointing West quotes to Hot 97 listeners including this:

"He said 'I do love Donald Trump.' Kanye West, quote, 'I love Donald Trump . . . I love Donald Trump.'"

Amid his briefly celebrated return to Twitter, arguably the greatest artist of his generation—seemingly increasingly keen on sullying his vibes with Alex Jones–approved poppycock—also gave a maddening shout-out to Candace Owens. Owens, of course, is known for saying shit like "You're not living through anything right now" to Black Lives Matter activists.
