It’s clear that Belly and Jay Z are cooking up something.
A few days ago, the XO artist took to Instagram to post a photo of himself and Hov diligently working in the studio, with the single word caption, “Zone.” The following day, on March 18, Belly posted a boomerang to his Instagram of the two in the studio, bobbing their heads, accompanied by the same caption.
Today, after much teasing, we’ve finally gotten to hear what that collaboration may sound like: Belly plays off his previous “zone” captions, as he spits in a dark and menacing manner, “Ready for the midnight zone, midnight, midnight zone.” Though there’s no way of knowing that Jay is on the song for sure, it does very well seem like he’s involved in some way; Hov looks pretty dedicated to whatever is it that they’re working on.
It’s clear that Belly has been putting in that work after the release of his eleventh mixtape Mumble Rap in October. His next song, “4 Days” featuring YG, is set to release on Thursday night.
