For the last few weeks, singer-songwriter Khalid and Fifth Harmony's Normani have been teasing the release of their song "Love Lies," and the slick, up-tempo collaboration is finally here just in time for Valentine's Day. On the record, the pair has undeniable chemistry, and it also marks Normani first foray into solo waters since signing a solo management deal last year. The guitar-driven offering, written by both of them, pairs Khalid's raspy vocals with Normani's smooth pop delivery, and it's possible it just might be everywhere, like each of their own solo and group efforts usually are.

Khalid hinted at the possibility of a collaboration last year to MTV after Normani appeared in his video for "Young, Dumb & Broke." "Every time we’re around each other we always have so much fun. She’s such a cool girl, she’s so nice, and she’s such a sweetheart. I’m just thankful that she’s in the video because I’m pretty sure it’s not the first thing that we’re going to be in together," he said. "I would love to collaborate. The chemistry is there."

The song serves as the most recent single from the upcoming movie Love, Simon, a coming of age love story about a high school student in the midst of an online affair with a secret classmate while grappling with his sexual identity. As Khalid's own stock continues to rise, fans have long championed Normani's breakout from her group Fifth Harmony, so the song is sure to pick up plenty of buzz and traction. There's no word on a music video just yet. Love, Simon and its official soundtrack drops on March 19th.
