Big Sean and Metro Boomin Announce Collab Album ‘Double or Nothing’

Young Metro and Sean Don's joint record is coming soon.

Several weeks after releasing their joint single "Pull Up N Wreck," Big Sean and Metro Boomin have announced the song was only the beginning.

The G.O.O.D. Music rhymer and Atlanta super-producer told Billboard they are dropping a joint album titled Double or Nothing. While no release date has been announced, Sean and Metro played the (so far unmixed) project for the magazine and talked about how it came about. For Metro, the goal was to go back to an earlier time. "I was born in '93, and a lot of projects [from that era] had one producer, maybe two," Metro explained. "They sounded more cohesive—better as a whole."

Sean, who reportedly uses a simpler, pared-down style for much of the album, discusses police violence and racism at points. "I believe music is a way of getting away from things, but it was heavy on my heart, and I felt the need to talk about it," he said.

Double or Nothing marks yet another in Metro's ongoing series of album-length collaborations. In just the past year and a half, he's teamed up Nav, 21 Savage and Offset21 Savage by himself, and Gucci Mane. Get the rest of the Sean collab details at Billboard.
