With each day that passes, it seems like there's a new development in the Meek Mill vs. Safaree Samuels feud. After claims emerged Safaree was jumped by the crew of the Philadelphia native, it wasn't long before we had footage, denials from Meek himself, and the Game stepping in to instigate even more nonsense.

As it turns out, this confrontation had been brewing before Friday's incident, at least according to TMZThey claim Safaree received a message from Meek's crew well before BET Awards weekend got started, telling him to lay low or suffer the consequences.

Safaree clearly wasn't having that, and chose not to go into hiding just because Meek was threatening to start something. The rest is history, of course.

New reports also claim the beef between Meek and Safaree isn't simply about their mutual connection to Nicki Minaj anymore. The war of words has supposedly gotten increasingly personal, carrying on for over a year at this point. You would think they both might have something better to do than continue dragging out some petty nonsense, although Meek continues to play coy when asked about the dust up.

“Ain’t no beef,” he said over the weekend. “I’m a boss. I’m a don. I don’t even fight. I don’t even know how they got us confused with that type of stuff, man.”

A neutral observer would probably disagree with that assessment. In the meantime, Meek spent the rest of his BET Awards weekend promoting his new video for "YBA," and we'll have to wait and see if they can both move on and focus on everything else they each have going on.
