Next month (Aug. 19) will see rising Lewisham producer CKtrl release his INDi project, a self-released collection of tracks that follow his two 2015 releases, Forest and double-single, Misc / Azula. Our pick of the release has to be "Colour", an intensive, percussive set of atmospherics that balance light and dark, light and heavy with dexterous ease. It's a little different to previous outings, as CKtrl explained to us, "INDi is my first chance to share songs and other aspects of my music that I've only hinted at or nodded to in the past, such as my own vocals and woodwind instrumentation for example."

Elsewhere, besides the inspired use of live instruments, INDi will also feature some pretty exciting collaborations such as Roses Gabor on "Girl", his own sister who features prominently on the release, Desta Haile (formerly of Andrew Ashong's band), Miles Anthony, Tyson McVey (daughter of Neneh Cherry) and quite a few more. Take your time with this one—there's a lot to digest.
