White House drama aside, Joey Bada$$ is set to release his studio debut album, B4.DA.$$, next week. The Brooklyn rapper stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night to perform "Like Me," a brand new record off the project, and he called upon the help of BJ the Chicago Kid, The Roots, and Statik Selektah for the soulful showing. The live connection made sense, considering the song is co-produced by The Roots and J Dilla. At the end of the performance, Joey and BJ held their hands up as a tribute to Michael Brown. Pretty powerful.
Joey's B4.DA.$$ will be released Jan. 20. It's available for pre-order on iTunes. Guests on the project include Raury, Kiesza, Action Bronson, and more.
