Mario Hess, also known as Big Glo and Blood Money, was shot and killed in West Englewood last night. The cousin of Chief Keef and also a rapper, the 30-year-old Chicago native had reportedly signed a multi-album deal with Interscope Records. Tragically, his dreams and life were cut short due to violence in his hometown.

Just days before Blood Money was killed, the rapper talked about growing up in the streets of Chicago in an interview with VladTV. From multiple stints in jail to getting his teeth knocked out, it's clear Blood Money was unable to escape his rough past. "I ain't come up like everybody else came up. I ain't come up with a mother and father like everybody else," he says. "I came with the streets. Guns and money and drugs."
