Philadelphia rapper Asaad (formerly Saudi Money) links up with Ab-Soul on his new record "Alejandro Jodorowsky Flow." The title of the song is a reference to Chilean filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky, and likely his 1973 cult film The Holy Mountain too, which was an inspiration for Kanye West and his Yeezus Tour.
Asaad and Ab-Soul climb their way to the top of rap's prestigious mountain, delivering rhymes that fit perfectly with Trox' smooth production. "Jesus Christ I'm such a pompous pilot/Catch you in the crosshairs, then wash my hands in silence," Ab-Soul spits with an intense demeanor. The sample on "Alejandro Jodorowsky Flow" sounds like it borrows from Bill Monroe and Doc Watson's "What Would You Give in Exchange for Your Soul."
"Alejandro Jodorowsky Flow" is off Asaad's upcoming mixtape Flowers II, which comes out on Thursday (3/27). The project will also include a feature from Chicago rapper King Louie.
