It's hard enough for a producer/DJ who totally "gets" dance music to make any serious plays in the American scene (yet), so imagine how awkward it is for someone with NO knowledge to be making so many power positions. And this isn't to diss on anyone in particular. DAD has seen the electronic music scene grow and flourish based on DIY mentalities. We're not naive, and understand that corporate dollars will make their way into dance music one way or another; the hope is that someone is around to guide the (possibly) misinformed/uneducated check writers regarding what's right for the scene, not always what will turn a quick profit.
