Hot 97 hosted their annual Summer Jam tonight, and the event was marked by the surprise appearance of Papoose. Pap suddenly appeared on stage in between sets from Kendrick Lamar and French Montana, and performed "Get At Me," his collaboration with Ron Browz off The Nacirema Dream. Reaction to this impromptu performance has been widespread on social media, with Papoose trending worldwide on Twitter.

Shortly after Summer Jam ended, Hot 97's program director and morning show co-host Ebro Darden took to Twitter to react to the situation. Ebro claimed that Pap had not been expected to perform at Summer Jam, and implied that the Brooklyn rapper had snuck onto the stage.

Obviously not pleased by this assessment, Pap responded to the claims, tweeting at Ebro and stating that the Hot 97 head honcho knew very well of this performance. The two continued to go back-and-forth, and there is currently no conclusion on the matter... as of now. However, Papoose will be calling into Hot 97's Morning Show. Expect sparks to fly.

UPDATE:Schoolboy Q just uploaded a Vine, offering his two cents on the issue. It's worth noting that the video features Ali, the main engineer for TDE and Kendrick Lamar's tour DJ. Ali is the one whom Ebro ostensibly referred to in his initial tweet on the situation. According to Ebro, Ali let Papoose's DJ play the record that the Brooklyn native performed on stage.
