Nike's third annual Air Max Day is still a few days away, but the celebrations are already in full swing. Before the big day, Highsnobiety decided to look at a few of the rarer Air Max collaborations and releases through a different lens.
These GIFs reimagine sneakers like the Parra x Patta Air Max 1, atmos x Air Max 95 "Animal," and Stash's Air Max BW collaboration in vivid, life-like animations inspired by 17th century oil paintings. Considering that many of these sneakers are museum-worthy in their own right, the pairing isn't as unusual as one might think.
