V Don is gearing up to drop another beat tape with some of the game's best spitters providing the bars. The Harlem producer likes to approach his music in the most traditional sense of the artform by providing the sounds that make whoever's on his tracks sound their absolute best.

The title track, "Black Mass," features frequent collaborator Eto. The song captures the mood of Whitey Bulger's decades long reign as Boston's top criminal and hopefully the rest of the project captures this essence. “Eto was the first person I thought of while cooking this beat up. It was grimey, but still melodic, I sent it over to him and he painted a movie,” V Don told Complex via email. “It fit exactly what I was looking for to be the title track for Black Mass.” Eto added, “Don’s beats paint the picture for me! I don’t know where to go until I hear it, but when I do, I know how to paint the picture." V Don's beats and Eto's lyrics paint houses.

Be on the lookout for Black Mass, due out Feb. 7. It features Adonis, Dark Lo, Rigz, Smoke DZA, Eto, Sauce Heist, Dave East, D. Polo, ElCamino, 38 Spesh, Da$h, Willie the Kid, and Kadeem.
