An American Airlines bus at JFK Airport in New York City was hijacked and the suspect led police on a bizarre chase before the vehicle was finally stopped 15 miles away in downtown Brooklyn.

Per ABC7NY, Officials claimed Burshawn Quildon, 43, hopped onto the bus at around 2 a.m. on Wednesday after it was left running in Lot 12, and drove the bus across multiple boroughs, leading police on a 15-mile chase throughout the city. Quildon was finally arrested after he ditched the vehicle along Cadman Plaza West.

Police claimed Quildon first drove on the Van Wyck Expressway and Grand Central Parkway in Queens, as well as along FDR Drive in Manhattan and across the Brooklyn Bridge. He is being charged with grand larceny of an auto and criminal possession of stolen property, and when he was arrested allegedly asked if he was going to jail. The NYPD still said he was arrested “without incident.”

Police told the outlet that Quildon is no stranger to law enforcement and that he was on probation at the time of his arrest related to a domestic robbery charge in 2015. He’s previously been arrested for robbery, marijuana possession, assault and transit fraud.

There were no passengers on the bus at the time and no injuries were reported.
