McCain has been in the food pocket game for decades, but for their new Breakfast Pockets—think Pizza Pockets, but for breakfast—they’re doing something different by launching a limited-edition clothing capsule inspired by the grab-and-go, microwavable staple. The collection comes with insulated pockets to keep your Breakfast Pockets warm wherever you go.

The collection was created by award-winning Toronto designer Hayley Elsaesser, famous for her unique, maximalist takes on pop art and nostalgia.

The Breakfast Pockets Pockets collection consists of three unisex pieces—a chore jacket, hoodie, and cargo pants. Their red and yellow design pays homage to the brand, and they’re full of pockets: in the kangaroo pocket of the hoodie, near the upper chest, and elsewhere. The pockets are insulated, so you actually can fit a Breakfast Pocket in there and keep the real egg, bacon, and cheese filling nice and warm until you’re ready to eat.

“When the McCain team brought the idea of making a pocket inspired collection for their new Breakfast Pockets, it felt like a no-brainer,” says Elsaesser. “In the design, I leaned into a fall streetwear aesthetic with the colours and fabrications, paired with patches for a punch of ’90s nostalgia.”

McCain partnered with Grocery Foundation’s Toonies for Tummies program and will be donating 100 percent of the collection’s proceeds to help fund school breakfast programs.

The limited-edition capsule collection is available for pre-order now at www.pocketspockets.ca. Prices range from $60 to $80 per item.
