She may have grown up living the sweet life in the White House, but that hasn't kept Sasha Obama from seeking out a totally normal summer job this year. The Boston Herald reports that 15-year-old Sasha has been working at a seafood restaurant in Martha's Vineyard over the summer.
According to the Herald, Sasha has been working the early shift at the take-out window of Nancy's, a popular seafood restaurant in Martha's Vineyard. While her job may be super typical for a teenager on summer break, being the president's kid always comes with Secret Service detail. Sasha, who the Herald reports has been going by her full name Natasha at work, has been accompanied to Nancy's by six agents for her shifts.
Apparently, not everyone immediately recognized the youngest of the two first daughters on the job. "She’s been working downstairs at takeout," a server at Nancy's told the Herald. "We were wondering why there were six people helping this girl, but then we found out who it was." Another young woman who works at Nancy's apparently isn't too amused by Sasha's presence, telling the Herald, "She’s been around for a few days. It’s pretty random."
The Obamas are reportedly good friends with the owner of Nancy's, Joe Moujabber, and have been eating at the restaurant during their vacations for years.
Sasha's gig will reportedly be up this weekend when the first family will start their vacation in Martha's Vineyard.
Nancy's Restaurant did not immediately reply to Complex's request for comment.
