Sad news out of the porn industry today: 31-year-old porn star Amber Rayne has been found dead.
Veteran performer Amber Rayne, real name Meghan Wren, reportedly died in her Sun Valley home located in Los Angeles according to the Daily Mail. She reportedly died in her sleep on either Saturday night or Sunday morning.
The Daily Mailreports LA Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter revealed Rayne died from a "possible overdose" citing a friend who was with her at the time. Her cause of death won't be revealed until the results of her toxicology report arrive. An autopsy has been scheduled.
A Detroit native, Rayne was an industry veteran performing for 10 years and racking up almost 500 film credits during that time as reported by AVN. She was also a survivor of uterine cancer.
She made news in December after she revealed porn star James Deen assaulted her. Rayne's accusations followed porn star Stoya's who accused Deen, her ex-boyfriend, of rape leading other women to come forward with their own accusations.
In December Rayne toldThe Daily Beast about her graphic attack which took place while she was shooting a scene with Deen. He got triggered and allegedly assaulted her.
"I've gotten to know him on many different levels," Rayne toldThe Daily Beast. "There's a friendship that's developed. I don't want to betray or lose that, but at the same time this did happen, and it happened to other people that I know and love."
