I guess technically this Snow Peak garment is a poncho because they're calling it a poncho, but I see it as more of a pullover anorak with an interesting cut. To me it looks like a something a scout would wear in a Ridley Scott movie about a small scale civil war that erupts in the future over fresh water and mineral rights. You'll notice the anorak/poncho in a scene taking place in a desert as the aforementioned scout lays first eyes on an enemy column and the subsequent radio chatter takes care of relevant exposition of the plot. Why would the scout be wearing a laminated, taped seam nylon anorak in the desert? BECAUSE IT LOOKS COOL. WHO ARE YOU? NEIL DEGRASSE TYSON?
