I thought about it for a minute, but yeah, I’m definitely writing about this Phenomenon elastic band shirt. You guys remember when everyone who wrote about menswear would be like, “Everyone needs an OCBD.” And you’d be like, “Fuck is an OCBD?” And then someone in the comments section would ask and someone else would go, “Oxford Cloth Button Down, god, read Ask Andy or something.” Well this isn’t a button-down shirt, so the acronym doesn’t apply. But instead of a locker loop, this shirt has a giant elastic band. I remember in high school everyone cut those locker loops off their shirts because one time this kid yanked on another kid’s locker loop so hard he fell backwards down the stairs in between classes. It was so gnarly. We probably should’ve all teamed up and ostracized the locker loop-pulling bully, but instead we just all cut off those little loops. Don’t cut off this elastic band. Even if Sam from ad sales tries to yank on it.
