I love Patrik Ervell because he continues to make things like this collarless quilted nylon shirt jacket. It’s utilitarian, technical, functional and costs $495. Ervell always makes expensive, utilitarian clothing that your friends and family will confuse with REI’s in-house camping and hiking clothing line. Your granola, hippy uncle that drives to your grandma’s for Christmas despite living a few thousand miles away will love this jacket. He’ll be like, “Oh yeah, from REI right? I got some dope pants that zip off into shorts from there.” Sure, your uncle probably won’t say "dope." But you probably didn’t even talk to him a couple of days ago during Thanksgiving either, so just fucking relax on all the fact checking.
