Nike Benassi slides are comfortable, versatile, and, most importantly, easy on the wallet. But have you ever wondered how they hold up in an extended skate session? Probably not. But thanks to Jenkem magazine, we now have an idea.
For its latest installment of “Can It Skate,” the publication enlisted Tommy Chill to skate the NYC streets in a pair of camo Benassi slides that were a bit too small. But, as you can see in the video above, he handles it like a champ.
Over the course of several hours, Tommy Chill cruises through the SoHo and Chinatown neighborhoods in the comfy, but hardly protective, footwear. By the end of the session, you can see the slides are still in tact, but his socks weren’t so lucky. Thankfully, Jenkem magazine awarded the brave skateboarder with well-deserved foot massage.
You can check out the episode above, as well as images of the journey below. Jenkem magazine's previous "Can It Skate" episodes featured the adidas Yeezy Boost 350s and a pair of Gucci loafers. Stay tuned to see what's next.
