Timed to launch during Paris Men’s Fashion Week, LOEWE just released images from its latest advertising campaign. The campaign includes a series of self portraits taken straight from legendary photographer Steven Meisel’s personal archives that have been re-photographed by Meisel himself especially for the Spanish luxury fashion house.

Conceived by creative director Jonathan Anderson, the images pay tribute to the fact that Meisel was a great source of inspiration for Anderson when he was brought on board to rebuild LOEWE after the departure of Stuart Vevers, who has since joined Coach. At the same time, the project highlights the evolution of self-portraiture from a classical art convention to the more disposable modes of self-representation which we are more familiar with thanks to the rise of trends like digital photography and the #selfie

The first images from the campaign were unveiled at kiosks across Paris today, and include silhouettes showcasing LOEWE’s Fall/Winter 2015 Menswear collection.
