I have this habitual problem of labeling things "underrated." It could be a person, a sports team, a fashion label, any of that shit. What I usually mean by this is that I happen to like a particular thing and don't think it gets the attention it rightly deserves. Arpenteur's gear usually falls under this umbrella because they constantly turn out fire pieces while flying under the radar of almost anyone. Not us though. We're too fucking thorough for that. Which is why I happen to really like this wool navy "chevaliere." I have no idea why it's called a "chevaliere" because I always see that term applied to, like, jewelry and trinkets and shit. But this is a shirt that totally reminds me of something a legitimate artist would wear to a gallery opening of their own work. It's navy, so it's understated and, because it has a collar, it would be an easy out for the artist to say they "dressed up" even though they hate dressing up for events and never do. Disdain of dressing up is the one thing I have in common with artists. I mean, I have ZERO artistic or creative ability, but tell me I have to wear a suit and tie and I'll probably find the most feeble excuse to not attend an event whatsoever.
